Privacy policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Aparry operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit or use the Services, make a purchase, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read it and understand how we handle your information as described below.
Personal information we collect
“Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details, such as your name, billing and shipping address, phone number and email address.
- Order information, such as the products you buy, return, exchange or cancel, order totals, discount codes used and your order history.
- Payment information, such as the type of card or wallet you use and the result of the payment. Your full card number is entered directly into our payment processor’s secure form; we do not see or store it.
- Account information, if you create an account, such as your username, password and preferences.
- Communications, such as messages you send through our contact form or by email.
- Device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at our site (for example, the website or campaign link that referred you) and when you visit.
Where we get it
- Directly from you, when you place an order, contact us or create an account.
- Automatically, from your device when you use the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
- From our service providers, such as our payment processor, which tells us whether a payment succeeded and whether it was flagged as possibly fraudulent.
How we use your personal information
- To process and deliver your order: to take payment, make and ship your items, send order and shipping emails, and handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To communicate with you: to answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud: to detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent payments, abuse and security incidents.
- To understand and improve the Services: to see which pages and products are visited and how visitors find us, using statistics.
- To meet legal obligations: for example, to keep tax and accounting records, respond to lawful requests from authorities and enforce our terms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with the following:
- Production and fulfillment partners. Our items are made to order. The partners who make and ship them receive your name, shipping address, phone number and the items ordered. These partners may be located outside Canada.
- Shipping carriers and customs authorities, to deliver your order.
- Payment processors. Our payment processor receives your payment details and the information needed to complete and protect the transaction, including device and browser information used for fraud prevention. If you pay with a digital wallet such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, that wallet provider handles your payment under its own terms.
- Website hosting and software providers, who host and run our online store and provide site security and visitor statistics.
- Email service providers, who deliver our order and account emails and host the inbox where we receive your messages.
- Professional advisers and authorities, such as accountants or lawyers, and government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged or reorganized.
These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us, or as described in their own privacy policies.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Services. Some are essential, for example to keep items in your cart, complete checkout and protect against fraud. Others help us understand how the site is used, such as visitor statistics and remembering which website or campaign brought you to our store so we can see which ones work. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, may not work without them.
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use and what each one does. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Manage consent” button at the bottom of every page.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Where your information is stored
We are based in Quebec, Canada. Some of our service providers and fulfillment partners are located outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States, the European Union and the countries where our fulfillment partners operate, so your personal information may be stored and processed there. When we send personal information outside Quebec, we take steps to make sure it receives adequate protection, as required by Quebec law. If we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms where required.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally six years in Canada). Contact messages are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Security
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and card payments are handled by a payment processor that meets the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as card numbers, by email or through our contact form.
Within Aparry, access to your personal information is limited to the people who need it to handle your order or request.
Children
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of majority where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete your information, or ask us to stop disseminating it;
- Receive a copy of information you gave us in a commonly used technological format (data portability);
- Withdraw your consent, for example to non-essential cookies;
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email.
To make a request, email us at support@aparry.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We respond within 30 days, as required under Quebec law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. These rights are not absolute, and in some cases the law allows or requires us to refuse a request; if so, we will tell you why.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
In accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, Aparry has designated a person in charge of the protection of personal information:
Title: Owner, Aparry
Email: support@aparry.com
You may contact this person with any question, request or complaint about how we handle your personal information.
Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (if you live in Quebec), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or to the law. We will post the updated version on this page, change the “Last updated” date and give any other notice required by law.
